Stitches East

Shenandoah Valley Fiber Festival

How time flies! It feels like I was just at the Shenandoah Valley Fiber Festival, spending a beautiful fall weekend in Berryville, VA and getting to meet a lot of great local knitters, and now I’m (mostly) packed and ready to drive up to Hartford, Connecticut tomorrow for Stitches East. It’s my first show of this size, so I’m excited but also more than a little nervous. It’s also the end of a busy show season (and the months of preparation leading up to it), so I’m also just a little tired, and looking forward to getting to hopefully take at least one day a week off in the coming months. But, that’s later–right now I have over 1,000 skeins of yarn to take to Hartford! I’m glad my friend Jess will be helping me in the booth and selling some of her amazing project bags (also on Etsy if you can’t make it to Hartford), and various other friends and family will be stopping by as well. I know once I’m there and the booth is set up, I’ll have fun–I always do. It’s the packing, traveling, and trying not to forget anything important that’s the stressful part. So, wish me luck, and if you’re in the Hartford area this weekend, stop by and say hello!

  1. Your booth was fantastic! I bought on Saturday, but dragged my friend Maureen over on Friday to look at your Rockefeller, which was just GORGEOUS!!!!!!! She also bought some of your yarn to make it….I hope it was a good experience for you! I just posted about your yarn on my blog.

    1. So glad you could stop by and bring your friends! I hope you both enjoy the Rockefeller–it is a fun pattern.
